Teeth Whitening Melbourne VIC
Why Do Teeth Discolour?
Teeth can discolour for a variety of reasons which can be down to lifestyle choices. For example smoking or eating and drinking very highly coloured foods will stain your teeth. The layer of opacious tooth enamel protecting your teeth becomes thinner with age, letting the natural shade of your teeth shine through.
How Can Teeth Whitening Help?
Here at St Vincent’s Dental Centre we can use professional strength whitening treatments to lift deep-seated stains from your teeth, safely restoring the appearance of your teeth so your smile will look whiter and brighter. We offer two different types of teeth whitening which are our in-chair whitening treatment that is ideal if you wish to whiten in time for a special event, or you can choose our take-home kits that are fully customised for each patient. These kits can be perfect if your teeth are quite sensitive and where whitening more slowly would be preferable.
Is Teeth Whitening Safe?
Your safety is always our priority and we assess every single person before recommending any type of tooth whitening treatment. This initial assessment will allow us to analyse the reasons for your tooth discolouration, to decide if teeth whitening is safe for you and we can discuss the type of results that can be reasonably achieved with treatment. We will not recommend teeth whitening if you have gum disease or other dental problems that require treatment, as your dental health is always our main concern.
Every tooth whitening treatment provided by St Vincent’s Dental Centre is designed with your dental health in mind. It is very important to us to ensure your experience when whitening will be safe and comfortable while providing the results desired.
