Dr Ching Ching Yong feels very privilege and passionate to be working in dentistry. She initially trained and worked as a physiotherapist in Brisbane, before receiving her second calling for a vocational change. She want on to complete a Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Melbourne in 2014 with distinction, including being awarded multiple First Class Honours, the John Iliffe Scholarship (2014) and the Mervyn Townsend Memorial Prize in Orthodontics for High Achievement (2013).
Upon graduation, Dr Yong moved to Shepparton to work in private practice for three years before returning to Melbourne and accepting a position at SV Dental Centre. She has also been appointed as a consultant dentist for St Vincent’s public and private hospital.
Clinically, Dr Yong’s passion lies in endodontics (root canal therapy), aesthetic dentistry, oral surgery, and minimally invasive dentistry, while at the same time maintaining a strong focus on preventative dental care.
Dr Yong’s patients have commended on her gentle touch and caring demeanour. She genuinely cares about her patients and finds it humbling and rewarding when she helps patients overcome their dental anxiety.
Outside of dentistry, her other passions include travelling to experience different cultures and histories, exploring the food scene in Melbourne, enjoying the company of her friends, winding down with a good book, cooking at home and reflecting in quiet meditation.
Apart from English, Dr Yong is also fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay, and enjoys chatting with patients of various cultural background and interests.

She strives to ensure a positive dental experience for her patients and practices with compassion, empathy and great care.
