Implant Dentistry

Am I a Candidate?

Generally, patients who are in good general health with good oral hygiene are suitable for dental implants.

Implants are placed in the underlying bone so it is important to determine the characteristics of that bone before placing an implant. We do this by using a CT scan to show us the height, width and density of the bone available in which to place an implant. We then use computer software to plan proposed treatment so that we can place implants in the ideal position to achieve desired outcomes. If there is not enough bone present, in most cases, we can undertake guided bone regeneration techniques to improve bone levels to the stage where we can successfully place implants in the desired positions.
